What are the responsibilities and job description for the Farm Administrative & Operations Assitant position at Lavender Fields at Pumpkin Blossom Farm?
Farm Administrative & Operations Assistant
Lavender Fields at Pumpkin Blossom Farm | Warner, NH
Year-round, [Part-Time/Full-Time] | Reports to Farm Owner
We're a growing lavender farm with retail, e-commerce, wholesale, agritourism, and events all running at once. We're looking for one organized, self-directed person to help keep the day-to-day moving.
Some days are computer work and customer emails. Some days are packing orders, making products, or chasing down a license renewal before it lapses. If that variety sounds good rather than exhausting, keep reading.
What you'll do
- Answer customer emails and inquiries about products, orders, shipping, and the farm
- Pick, pack, and ship online orders
- Help produce and package lavender products (measuring, filling, labeling, gift sets)
- Purchase supplies, track inventory, and flag what needs reordering
- Handle routine paperwork, applications, renewals, data entry, and recordkeeping
- Keep the farm office organized and functional
What we're looking for
- Highly organized and self-directed — you notice what needs doing and do it
- Comfortable switching between a laptop, a packing table, and a production bench in the same day
- Good with technology and willing to learn new systems (Google Workspace, spreadsheets, e-commerce and shipping platforms)
- Professional, friendly, and quick to respond
- Reliable, resourceful, and takes pride in doing things neatly
The work environment
Based primarily in the farm office and operations areas. Involves standing, moving boxes and supplies, repetitive packaging tasks, and occasional work outside. Pace and priorities shift with the seasons.
This role keeps the business running so the rest of the team can focus on growth, customers, and the fields. If you love being the person who makes things happen, we'd like to hear from you.
