About The Role
As an IT Portfolio Manager - Infrastructure and Operations you will manage the Project Portfolio across IT Infrastructure and Operations and ensures the delivery of critical infrastructure programs that ensure business continuity, scalability, and progress.
Your work will involve strategic and operational oversight of IT infrastructure programs, ensuring agreement on our goals and IT governance standards. You will manage a portfolio of projects and programs across infrastructure domains such as network, platforms, storage, virtualization, and backup systems, driving modernization and lifecycle management.
You will report to the IT Director – Infrastructure and Operations. This is a fully remote role.

Key Responsibilities
Program & Portfolio Management
- Oversee execution of all projects within the portfolio, ensuring delivery, prioritization, and agreement on our goals.
- Maintain understanding of program scope with strategic goals; recommend adjustments to enhance effectiveness.
- Identify program-level risks; develop contingency plans to minimize impact on timelines.
- Support annual business investment reviews according to strategic roadmap and lifecycle management.
- Establish KPIs specific to the infrastructure portfolio, focusing on, disciplined execution, and continuous improvement.
- Track portfolio metrics and lessons learned; implement best practices to improve delivery and outcomes.
- Work with infrastructure and architecture teams to establish and maintain implementation frameworks for infrastructure projects.
- Partner with IT leadership and departments to align infrastructure programs with organizational goals.
- Align with Infrastructure managers to maintain roadmaps for platforms, focusing on modernization and lifecycle management.
- Ensure compliance with governance, security, and company controls across all programs.
- Collaborate with IT PMO to enforce standardized deployment and support models.
- Manage portfolio and program budgets, control costs, and improve resource allocation across projects.
- Oversee capacity planning and facilitate cross-team resource allocation reviews.
- Collaborate with PMO and finance teams for cost-effective execution and accurate reporting.
- Lead program managers, promoting a culture of innovation and learning.
- Promote adoption of modern technologies and methodologies across infrastructure teams.
- Improve automation of mature processes; identify gaps and implement enhancements.
- Provide guidance to technical and administrative teams to resolve issues during project execution.
- BS or similar applicable degree or equivalent experience
- 5 Years of experience with 4 years IT focus (Typical will be 10 Years)
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or PgMP (Program Management Professional) required
- Lead work/project teams, including indirect reporting lines. Understanding of operations.
- Communication across a wide audience of IT and business professionals, including technical discussion with IT professionals.
- Demonstrated ability in process management and continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated abilities in decision-making, project management, and out-of-the box thinking.
- Establish new capabilities and programs, including new solutions and technologies.
- An understanding of IT infrastructure principals, capabilities, and architecture.
- Familiar with IT compliance controls.
