What You’ll Do:
Provide preventive and therapeutic care while educating patients on oral health and supporting case acceptance.
• Perform prophylaxis, scaling and root planning, periodontal charting, and fluoride treatments
• Take and review diagnostic X-rays; identify and communicate areas of concern to doctors
• Take iTero scans for patients when required to assist with treatment planning and case presentation
• Educate patients on home care, disease prevention, and treatment options
• Prepare and maintain a sterile, organized operatory
• Document services and findings thoroughly in patient records.
• Support the dentist in diagnosing and presenting treatment
• Help maintain hygiene recall system and keep the schedule productive
• Follow infection control and OSHA guidelines
Basic Qualifications:
• Graduated from an accredited dental hygiene program
• Licensed in MI
• Part-time work on Wed and Thurs with one late day until 6 or 7
• Full-time work M-Th with one late day until 7, one Fri a month until 2
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages
