Our school is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Social Media Specialist to join our team at our Sharon, PA location.
Position Overview:
Laurel Institutes is seeking a creative and motivated Part-Time Social Media Associate to support our marketing and communications efforts. This role is responsible for developing engaging content, managing social media platforms, and helping promote our programs, events, and student success stories.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create, schedule, and publish content across social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.)
- Monitor social media accounts and respond to messages and comments in a timely and professional manner
- Capture photos and videos of campus life, events, and student activities
- Assist in developing social media campaigns to increase engagement and enrollment awareness
- Collaborate with admissions, student services, and academic departments for content ideas
- Track and report on social media performance metrics
- Ensure all content aligns with Laurel Institutes’ brand and mission
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred
- Previous experience managing social media accounts (professional or academic)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Basic photography and video editing skills preferred
- Familiarity with social media scheduling tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Canva, Meta Business Suite)
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Creative mindset with attention to detail
Schedule:
- Approximately 15–25 hours per week
- Flexible schedule, with occasional evening or event coverage required
- Monday - Friday - No weekends or holidays
Compensation:
- Competitive hourly rate based on experience
Additional Requirements:
- Must be able to travel between campuses if needed
- Must pass background screening in accordance with institutional policies

Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- Microsoft Office: 3 years (Preferred)
- Social media marketing: 3 years (Preferred)
