A technical school in Northern western, PA seeks a qualified admission representative. An Admissions Representative identifies, interviews, and facilitates the enrollment of prospective students in a program of study offered by the school. This individual will be conducting both in-house and outside recruitment. The willingness to travel and speak to large groups of students is required.
Responsibilities:
The Admissions Representative is responsible for identifying, interviewing, and facilitating the enrollment of prospective students into the school's academic programs. This position includes both on-campus and community-based recruitment activities. The successful candidate must be comfortable traveling throughout the region and presenting to large groups of prospective students. This position will also support admissions efforts for Laurel's Distance Education programs by assisting prospective students throughout the enrollment process.
Responsibilities
- Conduct face-to-face interviews, telephone interviews, virtual meetings, and email correspondence with prospective high school and adult students to assess their educational goals, interests, and needs.
- Recruit prospective students through both on-campus and off-campus activities.
- Visit high schools throughout the five-county service area and represent the institution at college and career fairs, community events, and recruitment activities.
- Assist prospective students with admissions for both campus-based and Distance Education programs.
- Guide and mentor prospective students through each step of the admissions and enrollment process.
- Coordinate and facilitate Orientation and Registration Day activities.
- Deliver approved presentations promoting the institution's educational programs to prospective students, parents, school officials, and community organizations.
- Develop and maintain referral sources to support enrollment goals.
- Maintain regular contact with enrolled students and support institutional retention efforts through graduation.
- Participate in recruitment events, open houses, promotional activities, and other special events.
- Ensure compliance with all institutional policies, accreditation standards, and applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support Admissions and institutional enrollment initiatives.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build rapport with prospective students and families.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel throughout the service area and occasionally work evenings or weekends for recruitment events.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
- Previous admissions, sales, marketing, education, or customer service experience preferred.
