Laurel Supply is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cook to join our growing culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality ingredients, executing recipes with consistency, and supporting daily kitchen operations across our prepared foods program. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients by chopping, slicing, portioning, and measuring according to recipes and production needs
- Execute and assemble menu items with consistency, accuracy, and attention to presentation
- Maintain high standards of food quality, freshness, and cleanliness throughout all stages of preparation
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper storage and handling procedures
- Assist with daily production, including prepared foods, grab-and-go items, and catering orders
- Support kitchen organization, cleanliness, and overall operational efficiency
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure timely and accurate food production
- Contribute ideas for specials or improvements based on seasonal ingredients and product availability
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience in a kitchen, food preparation, or restaurant environment preferred
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with basic cooking techniques
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience in catering, prepared foods, or high-volume production is a plus
- Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
