Role Description The Plant Maintenance role at Laurel Sand & Gravel, Inc. is a full-time, on-site position located in Woodsboro, MD. This role is responsible for performing routine and corrective maintenance on plant equipment such as conveyors, crushers, screens, motors, and related machinery. Day-to-day tasks include inspecting equipment, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, completing repairs, and executing preventive maintenance schedules to reduce downtime. The Plant Maintenance team member will perform basic welding, fabrication, and parts replacement as needed, while maintaining accurate maintenance records and following all safety policies and procedures. Collaboration with plant operators and supervisors to prioritize work orders and support continuous, efficient production is also a key part of this role.
Qualifications
- Relevant experience in aggregate, mining, manufacturing, or heavy industrial environments is beneficial.
- Ability to use hand and power tools.
- Commitment to workplace safety, including adherence to MSHA and company safety standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certifications in industrial maintenance, mechanics, or a related field are a plus.
Job requires 50 hour work weeks, 10 hours of overtime (1.5x) guaranteed. Pay range is $20-25 with a 10% differential for nights. Shift is scheduled from 4PM-2AM Monday-Friday. Weekends as needed.
