Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Personal Caregiver to provide one-on-one support to a client in their home. The ideal candidate is patient, attentive, and committed to promoting the dignity, comfort, and independence of the individual in their care.
POSITION DETAILS
Position Type: Part-Time / Live-In (Weekends)
Schedule: 3 Weekdays (7-Hour Shifts) Live-In Weekend (Saturday – Sunday)
Care Type: One-on-One Personal Care
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Personal Care & Daily Living Assistance
- Assist client with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, and personal hygiene
- Support mobility, transfers, and repositioning as needed
- Assist with toileting and continence care with sensitivity and respect
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks according to dietary preferences
Household Support
- Perform light housekeeping duties and Laundry
- Assist with light grocery shopping and errand running as needed
Transportation & Appointments
- Transport client to and from medical appointments, therapy sessions, and other engagements
- Accompany client to appointments and provide support as needed
- Assist with scheduling and keeping track of upcoming appointments
- Communicate relevant updates from appointments to family members or care coordinators
Companionship & Emotional Support
- Provide meaningful companionship and social engagement throughout the day
- Engage client in hobbies, activities, and light exercise as appropriate
- Encourage mental stimulation through conversation, reading, puzzles, or other activities
- Offer emotional support and a positive, encouraging presence
Weekend Live-In Duties
- Provide continuous overnight supervision and care from Saturday morning through Sunday evening
- Be available to respond to the client's needs throughout the night as necessary
- Maintain the client's regular care routine across both weekend days
- Ensure client safety and comfort during all waking and sleeping hours
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Prior experience in caregiving, home health aide, or a related personal care role preferred
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred:
- CNA, HHA, or CPR & First Aid certification
- Experience with elderly or special needs individuals
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to transfer, or assist with proper body mechanics
Pay: $450.00 per week
Work Location: In person
