The Role
The Project Manager owns the planning, coordination, and execution of assigned races and initiatives.
This role is the operational backbone of client delivery by translating goals into structured plans, aligning teams, managing timelines, and ensuring races execute smoothly and predictably.
This position also plays a key role in event labor readiness, including recruiting coordination and training alignment for temporary race staff.

What You’ll Do
Project Ownership
• Lead projects from kickoff through post-event wrap-up
• Build and manage timelines, scopes, and task workflows
• Define milestones and ensure deliverables are met
• Identify risks early and proactively solve problems
Event Labor Recruiting & Readiness
• Forecast temporary labor needs per race (volume, roles, skill levels)
• Support recruiting efforts for event-based staff
• Partner with operations and timing leads to identify hiring priorities
• Assist in screening and coordinating event labor as needed
• Help coordinate and improve training processes for race staff
• Ensure labor is trained and prepared before final scheduling
Travel & Logistics
• Coordinate travel for non-salaried event staff
• Align staffing plans with timing and operations leadership
• Manage bookings, changes, and logistics execution
Cross-Team Leadership
• Serve as the central coordination point across operations, systems, timing, and client-facing teams
• Lead internal planning calls and status updates
• Ensure smooth handoffs and aligned execution
What Success Looks Like
• Projects delivered on time with minimal last-minute disruption
• Event labor is recruited, trained, and prepared ahead of race day
• Travel and logistics execute smoothly
• Internal teams feel informed and supported
• Clients experience reliable, organized execution
Qualifications
• 2 years in project management, operations, event management, or workforce coordination
• Experience recruiting or coordinating temporary/event labor preferred
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and solutions-focused
Experience in endurance events, sports tech, or live event operations is a strong plus.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: $50,000 – $70,000 annually (inclusive of health care stipends)
Final compensation is based on experience, skills, and internal equity. New hires are typically brought in at the lower to mid-range of the band. Top-of-range offers are reserved for candidates with extensive directly related experience and demonstrated high performance.
