Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, slicers, and food processors
- Assist with menu planning by preparing ingredients and suggesting improvements based on culinary best practices
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment to uphold food safety and sanitation standards
- Collaborate closely with kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery of orders
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and safety protocols at all times
- Support catering events or special functions by preparing large quantities of food while adhering to quality standards
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a food service environment or restaurant setting is highly preferred
- Strong knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques and ingredient preparation
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to safety standards in production
- Experience with meal preparation, recipe adherence, and food industry best practices
- Ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate tasks efficiently
- Familiarity with operating various kitchen equipment safely and properly
- Culinary experience that demonstrates a passion for cooking, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality
RAMP and Servsafe required prior to hire (we can discuss at interview).
Pay: $18.00 per hour
