The Vice President of Business Strategy is a key member of the executive leadership team responsible for driving strategic growth, operational excellence, and market positioning across our network of nursing homes. This individual will lead the development and execution of long-term strategic initiatives that align with organizational goals, regulatory compliance, and the evolving needs of senior care.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning & Execution

  • Develop and implement comprehensive business strategies to enhance organizational growth, improve resident outcomes, and increase profitability.
  • Lead strategic initiatives including mergers/acquisitions, market expansion, partnerships, and diversification of services (e.g., memory care, short-term rehab).
  • Collaborate with executive leaders to align business strategy with clinical operations, financial planning, and compliance functions.

Market Analysis & Growth

  • Conduct in-depth market and competitor analyses to identify growth opportunities and threats in the senior care industry.
  • Identify and evaluate new market segments, services, and geographic locations for potential expansion.

Performance Management & Innovation

  • Establish KPIs and benchmarks to monitor and evaluate the performance of strategic initiatives.
  • Lead innovation in service delivery, technology adoption, and care models that improve resident satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Partner with finance, clinical leadership, operations, and human resources to align business goals and ensure sustainability.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and board of directors.

Regulatory & Industry Trends

  • Stay abreast of regulatory changes, reimbursement models (e.g., Medicare/Medicaid), and industry trends impacting long-term care.
  • Develop proactive strategies to address risks and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field; MBA or MHA strongly preferred.
  • 10 years of experience in strategic leadership, preferably within the healthcare or senior living sectors.
  • Proven experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or related healthcare environments is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical, financial modeling, and business development skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and executive presentation abilities.
  • Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams and managing change in complex, regulated environments.
