Job Title: Finance Manager
Overview
The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the dealerships’ finance departments, including managing finance and insurance (F&I) operations, structuring financing options for customers, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards. This is a key leadership role within our dealership group, the manager will possess exceptional financial acumen, leadership skills, and the ability to drive profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
• Finance Operations: Oversee all financial transactions, including loan structuring, leasing options, and the sale of ancillary products (e.g., extended service contracts, GAP insurance).
• Customer Relations: Work closely with customers to offer personalized financing solutions that meet their needs while maintaining a focus on profitability.
• Vendor Relationships: Establish and maintain strong relationships with lending institutions, finance companies, and other third-party partners to ensure competitive financing options.
• Compliance: Ensure all F&I activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations, including but not limited to disclosure requirements, truth-in-lending laws, and dealer guidelines.
• Reporting and Analysis: Monitor and track financial performance, report on department metrics, and identify areas for improvement to maximize profitability.
• Process Improvement: Work with the Finance Director to develop and implement best practices to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the finance department, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and dealer profitability.
• Sales Support: Work closely with the sales team to identify opportunities for increased sales and to structure financing deals that benefit both the customer and the dealership.
• Administrative Support: Communicate closely with team members to resolve title, contract, document, and customer issues in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a Finance Manager in the automotive industry (preferably with a small or mid-sized dealership group)
• In-depth knowledge of automotive finance, lending options, and regulations.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach.
• Experience working with various financial institutions and establishing financing options for customers.
• Ability to analyze financial reports and develop strategic plans for growth.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
