What are the responsibilities and job description for the Infant Co Teacher position at Laurel Academy Early Learning Center?
Laurel Academy has openings for a Co Teacher in our Infant classroom (6 weeks-10 months old). We are located in Albertville, MN.
Job Hours:
Monday through Friday, 40 hours a week
Shifts range from 6:30AM -3:30PM

Job Descriptions:
Co Teacher
The co-teacher is responsible for everything that happens in their classroom alongside the Lead Teacher. Their duties include but are not limited to:
- Make personal touches to the approved curriculum, implement the approved curriculum daily
- Manage the classroom, including the staff members, students, and parents
- Supervise children at all times, make sure each child is receiving adequate care, make sure each child is making progress in learning
- Supervise assistant teachers and aides; make sure each staff members knows their specific duties in the classroom
- Maintain daily, monthly, and yearly assessments of all children in their classroom, including child portfolios
- Maintain all logs, such as accident/incident, separation, illness, biting, etc.
- Ensure that licensing standards are being maintained in their classroom at all times, and notify management of any licensing violations they find in the center

Qualifications:
- Meet the Department of Human Services' Rule 3 qualification standards of lead teacher, assistant teacher, and aide
- Each staff member must have or willing to complete first aid and CPR training for infants and children.
- Each staff member in our facility must fill out an application and submit to a background check and fingerprinting before the employee will be allowed to have contact with children.
- Must have documentation of U.S. citizenship or eligibility to work in the U.S.
