Position Summary:This position is responsible to provide exceptional customer service to all guests who visit our cheese shop at Marin French Cheese. Duties and Responsibilities:Greeting guests and providing them with exceptional customer service.Educating our guests about the our artisan cheeses, both brands, Marin French Cheese and Laura Chenel.Provide guests with cheese tastings daily.Maintain high standards of excellence.Stock shelves & refrigerators.Be fast, friendly, and accurate in every customer interaction.Help with food prep to ensure café has enough sandwiches and salads.Maintain cheese display that is eye catching and pleasing.Participate in the spirit of teamwork and cooperation.Participate in maintaining a clean work environment.Follow checklists daily.Additional duties as assigned.Schedule:* Weekends Required Required Skills and Knowledge:Must be able to obtain ServSafe Certificate required within the first 30 days of hire.Must be able to work weekends and holidays.Fluency in English is required, Spanish is a plus.Excellent customer service skills.Great communicator with a problem-solving attitude.Ability to engage professionally with customers and co-workers.Hard-working with a positive attitude, and team-oriented.Ability to manage light inventory count.Ability to stand for long periods of time.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:The physical requirements listed are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions and key responsibilities of this position with or without accommodation.Frequent operation of point of sale and food preparation equipment, the ability to stand for long periods of time, walk, climb stairs, bend, lift, twist, pull, push, carry, grasp, reach and stoop as need, and to occasionally lift and carry items up to 40 pounds.
