Crisis1 offers a range of consulting services, all designed to help federal agencies achieve their goals.Job Summary: Operations Research Specialist (Journeyman) - StatisticianThe Federal Protective Service (FPS), Financial and Programming Management Directorate (FPMD) has a need to acquire specialized expertise to directly support FPMD with Activity-Based Cost (ABC) Modeling, Basic Security Assessment (BSA) Modelling, statistical-regression analysis, cost estimation, resource planning & programming, data integrity & analysis, financial reporting & analysis, and other business operations activities considered mission critical. Location: Hybrid; partially on-site at TSA Headquarters 6595 Springfield Center Dr, Springfield, VA 22150Base Salary: $120,000 - $130,000Responsibilities/Duties:Perform statistical analysis using the following techniques: linear regression (simple and multiple), Ordinary Least Squares (OLS), Least Absolute Shrinkage and Selection Operator (LASSO), multivariate regression, logistic regression, time-series analysis, and statistical sampling.Employ statistical analysis to build and maintain a cost estimation model that is used to calculate and determine the fees that are charged by the client for the services it provides to customers. Must also be able to explain how the model is built and how it works to non-statisticians, and defend its design to critical review. Assist with responding to auditors’ questions during the annual financial audit.
