As a Senior Business Analyst you will be responsible for bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions within the ServiceNow platform, focusing specifically on managing and maintaining the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) according to the Common Service Data Model (CSDM) best practices. This role ensures data integrity, supports IT Service Management (ITSM) processes, and helps align IT architecture with business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure day-to-day accuracy and alignment of CSDM and CMDB records.
- Complete operational tickets for record creation, updates, corrections, and relationship alignment.
- Partner with Service Owners and support teams to answer questions, validate requests, and ensure governance compliance.
- Monitor SPA dashboards to identify and resolve data integrity issues proactively.
- Apply CSDM and CMDB methodology, naming standards, and governance rules to all work.
- Document repeatable processes, provide guidance to stakeholders, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- 3–5 years working with CSDM, CMDB, and ITSM processes.
- Strong understanding of CSDM structures, ownership models, and service relationships.
- Experience working with ServiceNow (Business Apps, App Services, Technical Services, Service Offerings, and groups).
- Skilled at interpreting business needs and applying them correctly within the CSDM framework.
- Proven ability to work independently, manage ticket queues, and prioritize tasks.
- Strong communication skills for partnering with Service Owners and support teams.
- Experience documenting processes, work instructions, and repeatable steps.
- Ability to identify and correct data quality issues through structured analysis.
- Comfortable facilitating discussions and supporting cross-functional teams.
