Launch is a certified minority and woman owned staffing firm, focused on direct hire placements in finance and accounting.
Our client is a high growth startup in the financial services space. Currently seeking a staff accountant to join their global accounting team, the ideal candidate will assist with helping the team to build operational accounting and month-end close processes.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the monthly and quarterly financial closing process, including preparation of monthly journal entries and reconciliation packages
- Responsible for the daily accounting operations including A/R, A/P, T&E, & Cash
- Prepare high quality work papers & supporting schedules and manage fixed assets
- Assist in working with the Company’s external auditors & tax professionals on coordination of quarterly and annual audits & filings
- Support and develop continual improvement and implementation of internal controls throughout functional accounting processes
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of accounting experience; experience in Big 4 auditing with financial services clients, or a high growth startup is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field required
- Experience with major ERP systems required (Netsuite preferred)
- Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail to analyze monthly financial data
- Strong process improvement skills; proficiency with Microsoft Excel & Office and presentation software
- Able to work under time pressure, prioritize a high workload, and meet strict deadlines
- Positive attitude and ability to be flexible to changing priorities, especially in the period of month/quarter/year-end closing
- Highly organized executor with ability to juggle multiple tasks and ruthlessly prioritize in a dynamic and ever-changing environment
- Independent operator with a sharp eye for problems that can navigate ambiguity and ask for help when needed
- Creative problem solver, quickly designs high-impact solutions
- Self-starter who takes initiative, values impact over effort and is motivated to drive performance

Salary : $100,000 - $115,000
