Overview
This position is for a full-time direct Technical Writer with COMAC (Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China). The applicant must have experience in technical authoring of aircraft maintenance and/or flight manuals with a major aircraft manufacturer. Position is based in Shanghai and total comp package to include negotiated housing, travel allowance and benefits commensurate with experience.

DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Candidate will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of aircraft flight manuals and associated documentation including but not limited to supplements, check lists, quick reference handbooks, weight& balance.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum 3 years experience as a technical author writing aircraft technical documentation to the ASD S1000D and iSpec 2200 specification.
Experienced in the creation and maintenance of airplane flight manuals and associated documentation including but not limited to supplements, check lists, quick reference handbooks, weight& balance.
Experienced with the creation and manipulation of complex Ms word, adobe frame maker and arbortext editor documentation working knowledge of the ASD S1000D specification within a common source data base(CSDB)environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited university.
- Four (4) years of additional Technical Writing experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
- Experience with multiple word processing and presentation tools such as MS Word, PowerPoint, and Visio etc.
- Experience developing aircraft user manuals, training manuals, and other documentation utilized by the end-user community
Experience interpreting engineering and maintenance drawings, operational procedures to understand and blend large quantities of data
Experience researching highly technical subject matter, organized information from multiple sources, and expressed technical information in written form that is comprehensible to a wide audience of readers
