VP Finance, Consultant

Launch Finance is seeking a strategic and VP of Finance Consultant to join our team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy of our clients in various industries, focusing on startups and high-growth businesses. As the VP of Finance Consultant, you will lead financial planning, analysis, and reporting to drive data-driven decision-making and ensure financial stability and growth.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial statement preparation and monthly close processes for multiple clients
• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance transparency and strengthen internal controls
• Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with client objectives and growth plans
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes
• Manage audit processes and liaise with external auditors and tax advisors
• Provide insights into financial performance and highlight opportunities for improvement and efficiency
• Partner with C-level executives and other stakeholders to guide the financial decision-making process
• Ensure the integrity of financial reporting and compliance with relevant regulations and standards
• Monitor financial indicators and market trends to inform strategic planning
• Lead and mentor finance and accounting teams, enhancing their capabilities in financial analysis and reporting
• Engage with investors and stakeholders to communicate financial performance and strategy
  
  
  

Requirements

• A Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline is preferred. A Bachelor's degree with a focus on finance, accounting, or a related field is mandatory. Holding a CPA designation is advantageous
• 10 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
• Experience in SaaS and technology (hardware/software) sectors is essential
• Proven experience as a VP of Finance, Controller, or similar role in a startup or high-growth company
• Deep understanding of GAAP accounting, financial planning, analysis, and reporting best practices
• Proficiency in advanced financial modeling and analysis, along with a proven track record of constructing financial models in Excel and Google Sheets
• Experience with fundraising and working with venture capital/private equity is highly desirable
• Outstanding strategic thinking and analytical skills
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities; capable of working with a diverse range of stakeholders
• Strong leadership skills and experience in managing finance teams
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while balancing strategic vision and execution
