About the Role
We are seeking an Associate Engineer I to join our Network Operations Center (NOC) team. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in Windows/Linux server administration, infrastructure monitoring, virtualization, and incident response. The ideal candidate will have expertise in one or more technical areas while demonstrating the ability and willingness to learn across networking, systems, automation, and operations. As part of a 24x7x365 operations team, you will monitor enterprise infrastructure, troubleshoot production issues, support major incident response, and help maintain high availability of critical IT services.
Responsibilities
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production Windows and Linux server issues.
- Perform routine server maintenance, patching, upgrades, and reboots.
- Administer VMware ESXi environments, including virtual machine provisioning and health monitoring.
- Monitor network infrastructure using tools such as SolarWinds and respond to alerts.
- Troubleshoot TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLAN, routing, and switching issues.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
- Configure and maintain monitoring platforms to improve operational visibility.
- Participate in Major Incident Management, bridge calls, and root cause analysis.
- Document troubleshooting procedures, SOPs, and technical knowledge articles.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and networking teams to restore services quickly.
- Participate in 24x7 on-call and shift rotations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
- Experience supporting Windows Server and Linux (RedHat preferred).
- Hands-on experience with VMware ESXi.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, routing, and switching fundamentals.
- Experience using remote administration tools such as RDP and SSH.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Splunk, Nagios, LogicMonitor, or similar.
- Understanding of ITIL processes and incident management.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.

Pay range and compensation package : Hourly Rate: $40–$45/hour
