Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Tax Associate to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in tax preparation and client service who is looking for a stable, long-term position in a collaborative and professional environment.

This position offers the opportunity to work with a wide variety of individual, business, trust and estate clients, gain additional exposure to complex tax situations, and contribute meaningfully to client success in a supportive and team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare individual, business, trust, and estate tax returns with accuracy and efficiency.
- Conduct tax research and apply current tax laws and regulations to client situations.
- Identify tax planning opportunities and provide practical recommendations to clients and team members.
- Prepare financial statements, workpapers, and supporting documentation.
- Communicate directly with clients regarding tax matters, document requests, and follow-up items.
- Collaborate with partners and team members on tax planning and special projects.
- Maintain organized and accurate client files and documentation.
- Assist with IRS and state tax notices and correspondence as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of public accounting and/or tax preparation experience required.
- Strong understanding of federal and state tax compliance for individuals and businesses.
- CPA license, CPA candidate, or Enrolled Agent (EA) credential preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and tax/accounting software, CCH Axcess preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage deadlines and multiple client engagements effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
