We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Prep Cook to join our culinary team during daytime hours. Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assist in meal assembly according to menu specifications
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the prep station and kitchen area
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines during all food handling processes
- Assist with menu planning and portion control to ensure consistency and quality
- Handle food preparation tasks including chopping, slicing, marinating, and cooking as needed
- Support the culinary team in daily kitchen operations, including plating and presentation
- Ensure all food products are stored properly and rotated according to safety standards
- Assist with catering events or special meal preparations as required
- Maintain proper knife skills for efficient and safe food prep
- Support the dietary department by adhering to specific dietary guidelines and restrictions
Requirements
- Prior experience in dietary services, restaurant kitchens, or food industry roles preferred
- Knowledge of food handling, safety protocols, and sanitation practices
- Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and cooking techniques
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in basic culinary tasks
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to follow recipes and instructions precisely
- Previous experience in dietary aide roles or catering is a plus
