Duties
- Greet guests warmly with genuine enthusiasm and maintain positive phone etiquette to assist with reservations and inquiries
- Manage reservation systems using POS platforms such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to organize seating arrangements efficiently
- Escort guests to their tables, providing menus and answering initial questions about the menu or restaurant offerings
- Monitor guest flow, manage waitlists, and communicate wait times clearly to ensure smooth seating transitions
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to optimize table turnover and guest satisfaction
- Handle guest concerns promptly and professionally, demonstrating excellent guest relations skills
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area, ensuring a welcoming environment at all times
Skills
- Proven experience as a Host or in a similar host/hostess role within food service or restaurant settings
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with attention to phone etiquette
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for reservation management
- Previous experience in hospitality, hotel, or food service environments is highly desirable
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining a friendly demeanor
- Knowledge of guest services principles and restaurant operations to enhance guest experiences
