What are the responsibilities and job description for the Regional Class A CDL Flatbed Driver position at Laufer Trucking, Inc?
Laufer Trucking is looking for drivers to do regional flatbed work. Our coverage area is the Midwest with some work outside of that. We also have other freight that goes back and forth to the Chicago area. (See detailed coverage map on our website, laufertrucking.com on the careers page).
We haul primarily steel coils, bars and sheets, recreational trailers (boat and snowmobile trailers), injection molds, some machinery, shingles and crated materials.
Laufer Trucking has a fleet of various flatbed trailers including 48' & 53' flatbeds, 53' step decks and 53' conestogas.
Regional drivers can expect to spend 2-4 nights our per week depending on their preferences. Work is Monday through Friday with occasional Sunday work available, if desired. Our drivers get a real weekend, every weekend.
We have in-house mechanics, a staffed wash bay, in yard fuel and DEF and a driver’s room stocked with snacks.
Pay range for Regional Flatbed drivers is $72,000-$90,000, with an experience based scale, calculated on miles and all stops. We do offer hourly pay at some of our stop locations, detention pay anytime you wait more then two hours and bonuses for leaving Sundays. We also have an overnight pay bonus.

We can train qualified Class A CDL holders to do flatbed work. 18 months prior Class A CDL experience required.
Drivers must live within 35-mile radius of Hartford, WI.
