Job Overview
Lattner Mfg. Co., a 108 year old, locally owned and operated company, seeking a dependable person to join our manufacturing team primarily to insulate and jacket boiler pressure vessels.
Lattner Boiler manufactures both fuel-fired and electric boilers for a variety of industrial applications including dry cleaning, health club steam room systems, food processing including steam jacketed kettles, medical sterilization equipment and much more.
Responsibilities commonly include the following:
-Mixing and setting refractory
-Carrying 50 lb. Bags of refractory
-Mixing refractory with electric drill
-Placing mixed refractory in boiler bases
-Wrapping and packing boilers of many sizes with fibrous and ceramic insulation Carrying and setting hard ceramic insulation panels
-Cutting and shaping ceramic panels to fit boilers
-Gluing/ mortering panels together to seal flue gasses
-Covering insulation with sheet metal
-Cutting, drilling, and rolling sheet metal to custom sizes and shapes for boilers
-Screwing, and welding sheet metal together to cover insulation
-Covering boiler openings with metal shields
