Lead a friendly, talented team of engineers delivering Energy Trust of Oregon’s Production Efficiency program to industrial customers in the Willamette Valley.


About the Role:

Lattice Energy Works is seeking an experienced, people-first energy efficiency engineer and account manager to lead our team serving the Energy Trust of Oregon Production Efficiency program. You will supervise a team of five energy engineers, manage program delivery to implementer goals and KPIs, and work closely with our program partner, Energy 350. This is a work-from-home position that requires boots on the ground with industrial customers. A typical day may include engaging industrial customers, scoping and developing energy projects, performing analysis, and supervising staff. The ideal candidate should reside in the Corvallis, Albany, or Salem area, although other geographic representation will be considered for the right candidate. This full-time position provides opportunities for advancement and steadily increasing responsibility. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position at this time. Applicants must be authorized to work full time in the United States without requiring employer-sponsored work authorization now or in the future.


Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of five energy engineers delivering the Energy Trust Production Efficiency program
  • Manage the program account: track performance against implementer goals and KPIs, forecast savings, and report progress to Energy Trust and Lattice leadership
  • Represent Energy Trust of Oregon with industrial customers, trade allies, and at regional events; provide excellent customer service
  • Coordinate day-to-day program delivery in close partnership with Energy 350
  • Work with industrial customers to scope and develop energy efficiency projects, and support your team’s energy analysis and on-site measurement & verification
  • Review technical work products, including engineering calculations and technical reports written for non-technical audiences


Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • At least five years of professional work experience in energy efficiency or a mechanical engineering field, with a B.S. degree in a relevant engineering or scientific discipline and/or equivalent experience
  • Experience supervising or leading a technical team, with a supportive, friendly management style
  • Comfort managing to KPIs and program goals in an energy efficiency implementation setting, and representing a utility or program administrator client
  • Working knowledge of commercial or industrial mechanical systems; deep, hands-on comfort with at least one system, such as compressed air, HVAC, fans & pumps, refrigeration, motors & VFDs, or steam, from a mechanical engineering perspective
  • Working knowledge of energy process flows, calculations, and energy using systems in industrial manufacturing.
  • Excellent writing, verbal communication, presentation, and team skills; an outgoing person who is excited to make new connections
  • On-site measurement & verification experience


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Energy Trust of Oregon programs or similar utility incentive programs
  • Experience analyzing energy systems and quantifying annual energy savings for industrial customers
  • P.E., EIT, and/or CEM


Compensation and Benefits

Compensation Package

  • Base Salary: $107,000–$127,000 annually, depending on relevant experience
  • Annual bonus tied to corporate financial performance

Work Location and Travel

  • Ideal Base Location: Corvallis, Albany, or Salem, Oregon (other locations considered)
  • Remote/Hybrid: Work-from-home with flexible working arrangements
  • Travel: Day travel to customer sites in the Willamette Valley and Oregon Coast, approximately 25%–50% of the time
