Dillon School District 3 (Latta Schools) is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. Please see the Position Description below.
Assigned days: 195 (negotiable)
Location: Latta Elementary School is the home school for the Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) positions in the district; however, the SLP may serve multiple schools.
Must possess:
• A valid SLP license or SLP Intern license (if not yet earned CCCs) from the SC Department of Labor, Licensing, and Regulation (SCLLR)
• master’s degree or higher in speech-language pathology from an accredited program
• A valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) is preferred, but not initially required
Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Provides assessment, diagnosis, therapeutic, consultative, and intervention services for students with speech, language, voice,
fluency, and communication disorders.
• Conducts screenings, evaluations, and re-evaluations for children suspected of or having speech-language disorders.
• Coordinates and participates in intervention, referral/evaluation planning, and Individualized Education Plan meetings with
relevant stakeholders.
• Supports student access to the general education curriculum and collaborates with educators, families, and related service
providers to promote academic and functional success.
• Delivers services in compliance with federal and state regulations and district policies.
• Prepares and maintains accurate clinical documentation, service notes, and required billing records in accordance with district
procedures and applicable regulations.

• There are three schools located within the district, which encompass grades pre-K through 12.
• All three schools and the district office are within a three-mile radius of one another.
Latta Elementary is the only Montessori based school within the county and includes pre-K through 5th grade. Latta Middle School includes 6th through 8th graders. The curriculum incorporates STEM and Project Based Learning. Latta High School includes 9th through 12th graders and the only International Baccalaureate Program within the county.
