CNC Machine Operator (Vertical Mill, Horizontal Mill & Lathe)Overview
We’re hiring a CNC Machine Operator to run CNC Vertical Mills, CNC Horizontal Mills, and CNC Lathes and produce precision components to engineering specifications. What You’ll Do
Machine Operation
- Operate and maintain CNC Vertical Mills, CNC Horizontal Mills, and CNC Lathes, including tooling and work holding devices
- Load raw materials, calibrate machines, and verify proper alignment before production
Adjustments and Interpretations
- Interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and job orders to determine machining requirements
- Adjust CNC programs (G-code) to ensure accurate machining
Quality Control
- Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
- Monitor machine operations and make real-time adjustments to maintain tolerances
Maintenance & Documentation
- Conduct routine maintenance and keep machines clean and operational
- Maintain accurate production records and report deviations from specifications
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or CNC certification preferred
- 1–3 years of experience operating CNC Vertical Mills, Horizontal Mills, and/or Lathes
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Proficiency with CNC programming and understanding of G-code
- Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
Nice to Have
- Experience with Fanuc, Haas, or similar CNC controls
- Knowledge of precision measurement and defect detection
- Ability to work independently and meet production deadlines
