Responsibilities
- Assist with landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, pruning, and trimming trees and shrubs to ensure healthy growth and aesthetic appeal.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and small machinery such as excavators under supervision to complete landscaping projects efficiently.
- Support planting, irrigation system installation, and garden bed preparation to enhance landscape design.
- Perform snow plowing and removal during winter months to maintain safe access for clients and visitors.
- Maintain equipment, tools, and work areas in a clean, safe, and organized manner to promote safety standards.
- Contribute to hardscape projects by assisting with the installation of patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other features.
- Follow safety protocols at all times while working with machinery such as excavators or power tools, ensuring a secure work environment for everyone involved.
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, and small construction equipment.
- Strong understanding of lawn care practices including mowing, mulching, aeration, and weed control.
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques
- Experience with irrigation systems installation and troubleshooting to support healthy plant growth.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward learning new skills in landscaping or construction environments.
