POSITION SUMMARY
The Houseperson supports the housekeeping team by preparing rooms, removing linens and trash, delivering supplies, and maintaining public and back-of-house areas.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Remove linens and trash from guest rooms and public areas.
- Transport clean linens and supplies to designated areas.
- Assist with cleaning rooms, hallways, and public spaces.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage areas and carts.
- Report repair or safety issues promptly.
- Assist with room setup, furniture movement, or special projects.
OTHER FUNCTIONS
- Support laundry operations as needed.
- Assist other departments during high-demand situations.
- Pre and post-storm preparation.
Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong customer-service skills.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior hospitality experience preferred.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
- Strong attention to detail and organizational ability.
- Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to push/pull carts and equipment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Indoor/outdoor work; exposure to cleaning chemicals.
- Includes weekends and holidays.
