Position Summary

The Housekeeping Inspector ensures guest rooms meet cleanliness, safety, and presentation standards. This role verifies room readiness and assists staff in maintaining consistent quality.

Essential Functions

• Inspect rooms for cleanliness, proper setup, and supply levels.

• Document deficiencies and ensure timely corrective action.

• Report maintenance needs promptly.

• Support staff with training, quality checks, and guest service.

• Inspect VIP rooms and special requests as assigned.

• Coordinate with other departments to ensure rooms are ready on time.

Other Functions

• Assist with cleaning during high-demand times.

• Support laundry or public-area tasks as needed.

• Uses phone to track/monitor room cleans through the location's computer program

• Pre and post-storm preparations.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Prior housekeeping or hospitality experience required.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistency.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Two years of hospitality or customer service experience preferred.

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong communication and organizational skills.

• Ability to coach and support team members.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching.

• Ability to lift 20–30 lbs and push/pull carts.

Work Environment

• Indoor setting with some exposure to cleaning chemicals.

• Weekend and holiday availability required.
