POSITION SUMMARY
The Common Area Attendant maintains all inside and assigned outdoor public areas of the location and interacts with guests in a manner that promotes a positive impression of the staff and property. This position creates a comfortable, clean guest environment, contributing to guest satisfaction and the success of the location.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The Common Area Attendant:
- Clean and maintain assigned interior and exterior common areas.
- Replenish supplies where needed.
- Empty trash and maintain public-space cleanliness.
- Report maintenance needs promptly.
- Communicate with housekeeping or Front Desk regarding cleaning needs.
OTHER FUNCTIONS
The Common Area Attendant may also:
- Perform other duties as needed to ensure smooth property operations and cleanliness.
- Assist the housekeeping team as needed.

Uses phone to track/monitor room cleans through the location's computer program.

Pre and post-storm preparations.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- -Reliable with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- No formal education requirements.
- Experience preferred but not required.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
- Understanding of cleaning procedures.
- Basic communication skills.
- Excellent customer services skills
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to push/pull carts and equipment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Indoor/outdoor work in various weather conditions.
- Weekend and holiday availability required.
