What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Counsel for Consumer Packaged Goods Company (Hybrid, Permanent) position at Latitude Legal?
An innovative company in the consumer-packaged goods industry is seeking a new general counsel to join its dynamic and collaborative team. The successful candidate will have experience working in-house for a company in the CPG industry and enjoy working on M&A transactions, SEC reporting, and general commercial matters. Prior experience working in the corporate practice group of an AmLaw 200 law firm, or in the corporate legal department of a publicly held corporation, is preferred. This is a hybrid position where you will spend two days/week in the office in Los Angeles (Westside).
Basic Requirements For The General Counsel For CPG Company
Pay: The salary range for this role is $200,000 to $300,000. This position is also eligible for equity compensation. Pay is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, and location.

- 6 years of experience leading M&A transactions and handling SEC and NYSE compliance, annual requirements, advice, and reporting, including proxy disclosures, 8-Ks,10-Ks, Section 16 reports, Form 3s and 4s, etc.
- Must have prior in-house experience for company in the consumer-packaged goods industry
- Experience negotiating, drafting, reviewing and/or editing commercial contracts
- Excellent academic credentials from an ABA-accredited law school
