Latitude is assisting an esteemed AmLaw 100 law firm in its search for a mid-level Commercial Litigation/ Disputes Associate to join its Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice in Newark, New Jersey. This is an excellent permanent opportunity for an attorney looking to handle sophisticated, high-stakes litigation while gaining meaningful responsibility, client exposure, and hands-on mentorship from experienced litigators.
The ideal candidate will have 3 years of commercial litigation experience, including matters involving general business disputes, multidistrict litigation, and/or class actions in state and federal courts. Candidates should be comfortable independently conducting legal research, drafting substantive pleadings and motions, and managing all phases of discovery, including e-discovery.
The associate will work closely with accomplished attorneys who are committed to professional development and active mentoring, with opportunities to take on increasing responsibility, substantive case ownership, and direct client contact as experience grows
Qualifications
The salary range for this role is $215,000 - $255,000/year. Pay is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, work experience, qualifications, credentials, and location.

Qualifications
- 3 years of commercial litigation experience, ideally involving sophisticated business disputes in state and federal courts
- J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to the New Jersey Bar, or eligibility to sit for the New Jersey Bar
- Judicial clerkship and/or law journal experience preferred, but not required
- Strong legal research, analytical, writing, and oral communication skills
- A proactive, self-starting approach, with the ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively
- Ability to manage multiple complex matters and competing priorities in a fast-paced, client-facing environment
- Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and professional judgment
