What are the responsibilities and job description for the Commercial Contracts Counsel position at Latitude Legal?
Latitude is looking for an attorney with 7 years of legal experience in a large law firm and/or an in-house legal department handling a wide variety of corporate and commercial contracts. In this role, you will work on assignment with our client’s general counsel and deputy general counsel to support the business teams of a global manufacturer. The client is open to the chosen attorney working anywhere from 20 to 40 hours per week. The opportunity is open to remote candidates with a preference for those who can work fully or hybrid on-site in Atlanta. Applicants must have significant experience drafting and negotiating a wide variety of commercial contracts for manufacturing and/or distribution companies.
Requirements For In-House Commercial Contracts Attorney (Contract)
The annualized compensation (as-if full-time) for this position ranges from $170,000 to $200,000 or more. Pay is based on numerous factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials and location. In addition to salary, Latitude Engaged Professionals are W2 employees of Latitude and are eligible for full benefits when working in roles for 20 hours per week, including a Qualified 401k plan. Benefits-eligible Latitude employees receive complimentary Group Life, LTD and AD&D and professional liability insurance. Latitude Attorneys also receive a CLE and Professional Expense stipend.

Requirements For In-House Commercial Contracts Attorney (Contract)
- 7 years of legal experience drafting, negotiating, and reviewing a variety of corporate and commercial contracts
- Applicants must have experience working at a large law firm and/or in-house at a large company
- Significant experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating MDAs, MSAs and commercial sales agreements
- Experience working for manufacturing and/or distribution companies
- Excellent academic credentials from a U.S. accredited law school
- Strong communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate legal issues with nonlawyers at an organization
- Capability and experience to work independently and with a team
- Outstanding references
- Licensed and in good standing in the state of residence
- Type of Role: Contract
- Schedule: Part-to-full time (anywhere from 20 – 40 hours per week, your choice)
- Location: Remote in Eastern U.S. but a strong preference for hybrid in-office in Atlanta.
