Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Front of House Manager to oversee daily operations in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive hospitality management experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves managing staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining efficient restaurant operations to provide an outstanding dining experience for guests.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate front-of-house staff, including training and development to ensure high-quality service delivery
- Oversee food service management, including food preparation, handling, and presentation standards
- Manage Toast POS for accurate order processing and cash handling
- Monitor inventory control to ensure adequate stock levels while minimizing waste
- Oversee shift management, ensuring smooth transitions between shifts and optimal staffing levels
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards in the dining area
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally to enhance guest satisfaction
- Assist in hiring, interviewing, and onboarding new team members
- Collaborate with kitchen management to coordinate food production and service flow
- Manage budgets related to front-of-house operations and contribute to overall restaurant profitability
- Scheduling for FOH staff utilizing Hotschedules.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in restaurant management or hospitality management roles, preferably in casual or fine dining settings
- Extensive knowledge of food industry standards, food safety protocols, and kitchen operations
- Strong leadership skills with experience in staff training, supervision, and team management
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Toast POS; cash handling experience required
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to resolve issues effectively
- Background in food preparation, culinary experience, or kitchen management is a plus
- Experience with inventory control, budgeting, and food safety compliance
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Hospitality or hotel experience is advantageous; previous assistant manager or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interview candidates and lead staff development initiatives
