Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced, USCG-licensed Boat Captain to operate and oversee a privately owned Sea Ray 350 docked at Marina del Rey Marina. In addition to operating the vessel, the captain will perform weekly check-ins to ensure the boat is in proper condition.
This position may be part-time or ongoing, depending on availability and fit.
Responsibilities:
Safely operate and navigate a Sea Ray 350
Perform weekly vessel checks (systems, bilge, batteries, lines, fenders, general condition)
Monitor weather and marina conditions
Ensure vessel safety and compliance with maritime regulations
Assist with docking and undocking
Perform basic pre- and post-trip inspections
Report any maintenance or repair needs promptly
Requirements:
Valid USCG Captain's License (required)
Experience operating similar-size power yachts
Familiarity with Marina del Rey and Southern California coastal waters
Strong safety awareness and professionalism
Reliable availability and clear communication
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rate separate weekly check compensation (based on experience)
