Reports To:            Clinical Supervisor & Associate Deputy Director of Programs  

Classification:       Full-time, Exempt, 1.0 FTE 

Location:                LN Mental Health Clinic

Compensation:     $64,290 to $73,308 per year

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Latino Network seeks a bilingual, mission-driven professional with bilingual and bicultural proficiency and training to provide mental health clinical services to the Latine community. As part of a dedicated team working towards a shared vision and under the supervision and direction of the Clinical Supervisor, the Mental Health Provider is charged with providing individual, group and family therapy as part of Latino Network’s Mental Health Clinic, Zenit Centro de Serenidad. The ideal candidate will address mental health needs by offering evidence-based treatment, conducting assessments, and providing ongoing support to ensure client well-being and growth.


POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Mental Health Provider (QMHP) will provide culturally specific mental health services. This role involves conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering individual, group and family therapy within a culturally responsive framework. The Mental Health Provider will work closely with individuals, families, community partners, and service providers to enhance the well-being of Latino youth and families.


PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain a maximum caseload of 25 clients, conducting comprehensive assessments and developing individualized treatment plans.
  • Deliver culturally sensitive therapy, including individual, group and family therapy.
  • Refer clients to substance abuse and other behavioral health services as needed.
  • Collaborate with Community Health Workers (CHWs) to provide integrated services.
  • Ensure clinical documentation meets state, federal, and organizational standards, focusing on accuracy and timely reporting.
  • Ensure collaborative documentation processes to enhance communication.
  • Work with local organizations and stakeholders to improve service delivery for mental health challenges.
  • Participate in community outreach initiatives to raise awareness of mental health resources.
  • Engage in program evaluation and improvement using client feedback and data.
  • Implement evidence-based practices to ensure program effectiveness and sustainability.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support as needed.
  • Engage in advocacy efforts to influence mental health policy at local and state levels.

Requirements

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • This position requires a valid and active QMHP credential certification through MHACBO or a valid and active status (licensed or registered intern) with an approved Oregon licensing board. 
  • Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work or Mental Health Related field.
  • Excellent bilingual communication skills in Spanish and English (written and oral).
  • Demonstrated experience providing mental health services to the Latinx community.
  • Experience in community health, mental health, and related services.
  • Understanding of social determinants of health and their impact on the community.
  • Ability to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with organizations, schools, and families.
  • Flexible and adaptive to achieve the functions of the position.
  • Knowledge of systemic issues affecting Oregon Latinos and related policy processes.
  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.

The employee is occasionally required to use hands and fingers to type or dial, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and reach with hands and arms. The employee may be required to perform minimal heavy lifting and walking during peak events.


WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather); outdoor weather conditions; extreme cold (non-weather) and extreme heat (non-weather). This position requires frequent computer use. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
