To support this momentum, we are seeking a Senior Sales Manager who will lead strategy and execution for Walmart and Sam’s Club as an individual contributor—a high-impact role focused on ownership, leadership through influence, and flawless delivery.
This opportunity is ideal for a seasoned commercial professional with deep Bentonville experience and a proven ability to build and grow major retail accounts.
About the Role
As the Senior Sales Manager, you will serve as the primary owner of the Walmart and Sam’s Club businesses. You will lead strategic planning, manage daily execution, and ensure internal and external alignment—without direct reports, but with full responsibility and visibility.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the Walmart and Sam’s Club businesses through strong customer relationships and strategic account management.
- Developing and delivering Joint Business Plans that drive long-term growth.
- Owning P&L performance, including revenue, trade spend, and margin.
- Ensuring forecast accuracy and operational readiness with Supply Chain and Finance.
- Leading pricing, promotions, merchandising, and retail media strategy.
- Managing broker partners and ensuring best-in-class in-store execution.
- Representing the company at buyer meetings, Bentonville industry events, and national trade shows.
- Providing category insights and thought leadership to influence retailer strategies.
What You Bring
We are looking for a strategic, analytical, and execution-focused leader—without the need for people management responsibilities.
Requirements:
- 7–10 years managing Walmart and/or Sam’s Club within CPG or consumer products.
- Proven success with P&L ownership and driving profitable, sustainable growth.
- Deep knowledge of Walmart/Sam’s systems (Retail Link, Item 360, MADRID, Scintilla).
- Strong analytical abilities using tools like Nielsen/IRI and Power BI.
- Experience managing and developing broker relationships.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
- Based in Bentonville, AR, or open to relocation.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Travel: ~40–50%
