What are the responsibilities and job description for the Water Polo Club Coach position at LATIN SCHOOL OF CHICAGO?
The Chicago Latin Swim Club is looking for Assistant Coaches for our Saturday Roman Water Polo program. The practice times are select Saturdays throughout the year (September- March). Hours are between 9am - 1pm and your contract will be based upon experience. We are looking for Coaches who have a passion for the sport and a willingness to grow with a brand new program.
Assistant Coach Duties and Responsibilities - Working with athletes ages 3-12
- Follow the direction of the Lead Coach and Head Coach for all practices and games
- Know and understand all rules of Water Polo
- Teach all correct skills necessary to the sport of Water Polo
- Attend all practice sessions
- Dress appropriately while coaching
- Obtain and Keep USA Water Polo Membership
- Coach any games or tournaments assigned
- Read and adhere to all policies outlined in Latins coaching manual
- Create and maintain a healthy and safe environment for all players
- Follow Team Philosophy and Guidelines as provided by Head Coach
- Meet with the Head Coach and Lead Coach at the end of the season to review performance.
- Give appropriate notice for any practices or games that will be missed and make all efforts to find coverage.
- Playing experience is preferred
- Coaching experience is necessary
- Experience working with young swimmers
- Full understanding of the rules and skills required for water polo
- All coaching positions require a daily after-school commitment and CPR/AED certification
