MexLawClinic is the legal tech arm of a boutique law firm with 20 years of cross-border Mexico–U.S. experience. We're building a digital platform for legal services that blends corporate, tax, and notarial law with technology.

📋 What You'll Do: — Legal research on cross-border corporate, tax, and regulatory matters — Daily online assistance: document management, case tracking, file organization — Draft and review memos, contracts, and correspondence in English and Spanish — Support due diligence and corporate document preparation — Translate legal documents (English ↔ Spanish) — Help develop digital legal and notarial services — Sit in on client meetings with attorney supervision — Gain hands-on exposure to real cross-border transactions — Work directly alongside experienced attorneys on active cases
👤 What We're Looking For: — U.S. citizenship or permanent residency with work authorization (required) — Currently enrolled in a law program in Tijuana, MX or a law school in San Diego / U.S. — Fully bilingual English/Spanish (written and spoken) — non-negotiable — Interest in digital legal services, legal tech, and notarial services — Available 1 day/week at our Downtown San Diego office — Strong attention to detail and organizational skills — Self-starter who can work independently in a remote setup
✅ Nice to Have: — Coursework in international, corporate, tax, or cross-border law — Prior law firm experience — Comfortable with digital tools and a tech-forward mindset — Familiarity with Mexican legal systems or notarial law — Experience with document automation or legal research platforms
💰 Compensation: — $17.75 USD/hour — 50 hrs/month (~10–12 hrs/week) — W-2 Employee (part-time) — Standard withholdings (Medicare, Social Security, SDI, PIT) — W-4 and I-9 forms required before start date
