About Our Organization

The Latin American Health Alliance (LAHA) is a dedicated non-profit organization based in Central Massachusetts, focused on improving the health and well-being of underserved communities, particularly Latinx population. We provide culturally sensitive addiction recovery services, healthcare access, and educational support. Our mission is to foster long-term health, stability, and empowerment, promoting sustainable solutions for individuals facing significant challenges related to substance use disorders.

Why This Role Matters And What It Offers You

This is a senior leadership opportunity to shape clinical culture at one of Central Massachusetts’ most mission-driven residential recovery programs. You will lead a dedicated multidisciplinary team, influence program design and policy, and make a measurable difference in the lives of Latino men on the path to recovery.

LAHA provides organizational support including ongoing professional development funding, CEU reimbursement, collaborative executive leadership, and a team deeply committed to culturally responsive care.

Your Leadership Impact:

  • Shape and sustain a highquality, evidencebased clinical environment across a multidisciplinary residential team.
  • Lead clinical supervision for licensuretrack, masterslevel, bachelorslevel, and recovery specialist staff; directly influencing their professional growth.
  • Drive program development and clinical model design in collaboration with executive leadership.
  • Serve as the senior clinical voice at case conferences, treatment team meetings, and complex consultations.

Mission Alignment:

LAHA’s work is grounded in cultural responsiveness, social justice, and whole-person care. The Clinical Director is expected to embody and advance these values — modeling trauma-informed, equity-centered leadership for staff and clients alike.

Organizational Support Available

  • Direct access to and collaboration with the Executive Director on policy, program, and strategic decisions.
  • Partnerships with external psychiatric and medication coordination providers to support integrated care.
  • Professional development budget, CEU reimbursement, and a flexible schedule to support worklife sustainability.
  • A team culture that values accountability, cultural humility, and missiondriven practice.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

Clinical Operations

  • Oversee all clinical operations including assessments, treatment planning, service delivery, discharge planning, and continuity of care.
  • Oversee intake, screening, and admission processes, including ASAM placement criteria, eligibility verification, and coordination of referrals.
  • Lead case conferences, treatment team meetings, and complex clinical consultations to ensure coordinated, clientcentered care.
  • Provide clinical oversight for crisis intervention, safety planning, behavioral escalations, and coordination with emergency or external providers when needed.

Supervision, Training & Team Leadership

  • Provide clinical leadership and supervision to a multidisciplinary team of case managers, recovery coaches, and medication specialists.
  • Guide staff in the use of evidencebased practices: Motivational Interviewing, CBT, traumainformed care, harmreduction strategies, relapseprevention planning, and cooccurring disorder treatment.
  • Develop, implement, and facilitate ongoing clinical training, professional development, and corrective coaching to strengthen staff performance and clinical quality.
  • Promote a professional, ethical, traumainformed, and culturally responsive clinical environment for both clients and staff.

Compliance, Quality & Policy

  • Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and all privacy and security requirements for protected health information.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to develop, update, and enforce clinical policies, procedures, and workflows aligned with regulatory and organizational requirements.
  • Maintain compliance with DPH, BSAS, and support preparation for audits and corrective action plans.
  • Support program development, clinical model design, and implementation of new services or treatment tracks.

Utilization Management & Documentation

  • Complete and oversee insurance authorizations, concurrent reviews, continuedstay requests, and clinical justifications in collaboration with utilization review and billing teams.
  • Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation consistent with regulatory and payer requirements.
