About The Role
The Senior QA Automation Engineer is an integral part of Latham’s Technology & Information Services team. This role will be responsible for playing a pivotal role in designing, developing, and implementing robust automation frameworks tailored to specific application needs, ensuring scalability and adaptability for future application changes and growth, as well as evaluating and implementing appropriate automation tools, methods, and technologies to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness, including AI techniques to improve anomaly detection. This role will be located in our Global Services O ffice in Downtown Los Angeles. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.

Responsibilities & Qualifications
Other key responsibilities include:
- Analyzing software requirements and documentation to create comprehensive automation scripts
- Collaborating with development teams to integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and software development lifecycles
- Assisting other Quality Assurance team members by participating in code reviews and one-on-one coding sessions to ensure quality and consistency
- Maintaining and updating automation scripts and frameworks, including regular maintenance, code refactoring, and troubleshooting to resolve issues
- Documenting automation processes and providing training to team members on automation usage
- Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains
- Possess strong analytical skills needed for all primary duties, including comprehending and communicating complex concepts
- Display strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
- Demonstrate familiarity with various automation frameworks, including Playwright, and other tools supporting web and mobile app testing
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science or a related field
- A minimum of five (5) years of advanced automation engineering experience
