This role requires a designer who can work within established corporate brand and UX guidelines while improving usability across complex workflows. The ideal candidate is a visual design expert who also brings foundational UI research skills—such as benchmarking, competitive analysis, component testing, and user validation—to inform design decisions.
Key Responsibilities
UI Design & System Application
- Develop high-quality B2B and B2C user interface designs that align with corporate brand, accessibility, and design-system standards.
- Translate business requirements and user needs into clean, usable screens and interaction patterns.
- Extend and refine existing UI components to support new marketing and finance platform features.
- Produce wireframes, mockups, prototypes, layout systems, and final design assets.
UI Research & Validation
- Conduct UI-specific research activities including:
- Competitive and comparative design audits
- Analysis of industry UI patterns
- Lightweight usability reviews and heuristic evaluations
- Pattern validation and design optimization
- Support user testing sessions with UX or product teams (if applicable), interpreting feedback to refine UI elements.
- Use data, user observations, and feedback loops to inform visual and interaction design decisions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with product managers, business analysts, engineers, and stakeholders to define UI requirements.
- Integrate feedback from marketing, finance, compliance, and engineering stakeholders into design iterations.
- Communicate design decisions clearly through presentations, prototypes, and design rationale.
Design Governance & Standards
- Ensure all deliverables align with corporate design systems and accessibility requirements.
- Identify opportunities to enhance the design system with new components or improvements.
- Build documentation that supports efficient engineering implementation.
Prototyping & Implementation Support
- Create interactive prototypes to communicate interaction behavior and workflow logic.
- Provide detailed design specifications and work closely with engineering during development.
- Participate in design reviews, QA reviews, and post-release evaluation cycles.
Required Skills & Experience
- 3–5 years of UI design experience in SaaS, enterprise platforms, marketing systems, or financial tools.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating UI design for complex workflows and dashboards.
- Experience conducting UI-focused research or analysis (apps, platforms, pattern libraries, competitor benchmarking).
- Proficiency with Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or equivalent tools.
- Understanding of responsive design, typography, layout systems, and visual hierarchy.
- Experience working within structured design systems and brand standards.
- Strong communication skills and comfort presenting design decisions to cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG/ADA).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience designing marketing automation tools, financial reporting interfaces, dashboards, or internal business platforms.
- Exposure to UX research techniques such as observation, feedback capture, and task analysis.
- Awareness of front-end technologies (HTML/CSS, component libraries) to support collaboration with engineering.
- Experience working in Agile environments using Jira, Confluence, or Smartsheet.
