Key Duties & Responsibilities

Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial contracts, including power purchase agreements (PPAs), EPC contracts, O&M agreements, supply/procurement contracts, NDAs, MOUs, and service agreements
- Provide legal advice to internal teams across development, operations, procurement, and finance
- Assist in managing the full contract lifecycle and maintaining contract management tools
- Collaborate with outside counsel as needed
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local energy laws and regulations
- Track and interpret changes in legislation and regulatory frameworks
- Support internal audits and risk assessments tied to contract obligations
- Other duties as assigned
- JD degree and admission to at least one U.S. state bar in good standing
- 6 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in a mix of law firm and in-house environments
- Strong background in commercial contracting, including drafting and negotiating complex agreements
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain legal concepts to non-lawyers
- Business-oriented mindset with strong judgment and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Experience in energy, infrastructure, or technology sectors
- Familiarity with international contracting and cross-border deal structures is a plus
