Last Chance Liquors is looking for a reliable, knowledgeable, and customer-focused person to join our team full-time.
We’re looking for someone with previous retail and customer service experience who has a strong working knowledge of wine, spirits, and beer. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys helping customers, making thoughtful recommendations, and creating a welcoming neighborhood-store experience.
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive customer service
- Provide thoughtful wine, spirits, and beer recommendations based on customer preferences, occasions, and budgets
- Educate customers on regions, varietals, styles, tasting notes, and pairing suggestions
- Build strong relationships with regular customers and help create a welcoming store environment
- Operate the point-of-sale system accurately and efficiently
- Handle cash and other payments, including opening and closing registers
- Follow all alcohol sales laws and store policies, including proper ID verification
- Keep shelves fully stocked, organized, and visually appealing
- Regularly lift and carry cases weighing up to 50 lbs., including carrying cases up and down stairs
- Assist with inventory counts, product organization, and general merchandising
- Support in-store tastings, events, and promotional activities
- Stay informed about new products, industry trends, and current wine, beer, and spirits offerings
- Complete opening and closing duties and help maintain a clean, organized store
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous retail and customer service experience
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, and beer is required
- Comfortable discussing products and making recommendations to customers
- Dependable and comfortable working independently
- Available to work weekends and a flexible schedule as needed
- Able to stay organized and productive during both busy and slower periods
- Must meet all Tennessee age and legal requirements for employment in a retail liquor store
Schedule:
This is a full-time position. Availability must include weekdays, weekends, and the ability to open and close the store as scheduled.
