This is a full-time, on-site Security Guard role based in Nashville, TN. The Security Guard will monitor assigned areas, conduct regular patrols, and observe for suspicious activity, safety hazards, or policy violations. Daily responsibilities include controlling access to premises, checking identification or credentials as required, and maintaining a visible, professional presence to deter unauthorized activity. The role involves responding calmly and promptly to incidents or emergencies, documenting events and observations in clear written reports, and communicating effectively with supervisors, clients, and, when needed, law enforcement or emergency services. The Security Guard will also provide directions and basic assistance to visitors and employees, while following all company policies, site post orders, and safety procedures.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal skills and customer service skills to interact respectfully and professionally with clients, visitors, and colleagues.
- Experience or training in physical security and private security, including patrolling, incident response, and access control.
- Knowledge of personnel security practices, such as verifying identities, managing visitor access, and following confidentiality requirements.
- Ability to remain alert, detail-oriented, and calm under pressure, with sound judgment in routine and emergency situations.
- High school diploma or equivalent; prior security, law enforcement, or military experience is beneficial but not required.
- Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed, with reliable transportation to and from the work site.
- Capability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods, and meet any physical requirements related to the post.
