Position Summary:
The Floater Operator is a member of the production department. The Floater Operator must possess the attribute of being a Floater Operator. Employee must be able to run all machines and be signed off on the operator check list forms for those machines. They must possess the ability to train people, act in an appropriate manner per the Code of Conduct of SunRype Policy.
Responsibilities:
- Be able to manually operate all equipment of production processes.
- Troubleshoot machinery when necessary
- Operate Forklift
- Give breaks and lunches to other operators
- All other duties assigned
Role in Food Safety:Follow plant GMPs at all times and ensure work area is secure.
Job Requirements:
- Accurately maintain required records to ensure compliance with Company and/or government standards.
- Work safely.
- Any other tasks required by the supervisor.
Position that backs up this role during absence:
This position will be filled with any other trained operator and or Supervisor during the absence of a relief operator.
A. Physical Requirements:
This position requires the following physical demands up to 90% of the time.
- Ability to turn head to look right/left as well as up and down.
- Ability to twist body at waist.
- Ability to bend/squat/kneel.
- Ability to reach with both arms.
- Ability to stand for 8 hours during a shift minus breaks and lunch.
- Ability to lift up to 25-50 pounds.
B. Non-Physical Requirements:
Education:
A high school diploma or GED required.
Experience:
Minimum one year experience in a juice processing facility preferred.

Ability to read/write in English.
