What are the responsibilities and job description for the Entry Level Grading Laborer/Utility Ditch Man position at Lassiter Taylor Construction, LLC?
Lassiter Taylor Construction, LLC is seeking to fill a general laborer/ditch man position. Candidates for this position should be physically able and prepared to assist with storm drain installation , perform masonry work on storm drain structures, and/or operate various types of equipment (off-road dump truck, roller, skid steer, wheel loader, etc). This is an entry level position and training will be provided accordingly. If you are willing to work outdoors, in the elements, and are eager to learn, please apply. Must be able to perform demanding physical activity for a sustained amount of time. Applicants with prior related experience are encouraged to apply as well. There is opportunity for training and advancement into other roles.
This is a full-time position, working a Monday-Friday work week (7:00-5:30 normal work day, subject to change depending on weather and schedule) with potential of overtime (Saturdays, depending on weather and job schedule as well). All applicants must have reliable transportation to and from work and must be able to pass a drug test.
Lassiter Taylor Construction generally performs work in Greenville and Spartanburg counties, with occasional work in Anderson and Laurens counties. We are not an out-of-town/traveling contractor. The scope of work for our company generally includes grading and storm drainage, with some management responsibilities for other trades.
Competitive pay based on EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS.

Requirements:
- Willingness to work outside in all types of weather conditions.
- Perform strenuous, physical activity.
- Eager to learn. On the job training will include basics of storm drain installation as well as operation of various types of equipment (such as: skid steer, roller, off road truck, etc.) to assist in grading and utility installation operations.
- Good attitude, reliable, self-motivated, excellent attendance, capable of working at a sustained pace and produce quality work.
- Ability to understand the scope of work (as directed) and assist others towards that goal.
- May perform other related duties as assigned.
