Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their needs at the pump and inside the store
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately to process transactions swiftly and securely
- Handle cash, credit, and debit card payments with proper cash handling procedures
- Conduct product demos for items such as snacks, beverages, or promotional merchandise to boost sales
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store, including stocking shelves and merchandising displays
- Upsell additional products or services to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales
- Ensure compliance with phone etiquette standards when assisting customers over the phone or in person
Skills
- Proficiency with POS systems and cash handling procedures
- Prior supervising experience is a plus for team coordination roles
- Ability to perform retail math accurately for transactions and inventory counts
- Strong communication skills to engage with diverse customers effectively
